Welcome fair reader! To my notes. I have been assigned to this task from my lecturers to upload what I understood from each session of Leisure Business class for them to review. It shall be published around every Monday evening to Tuesday afternoon. I doubt anyone outside of my lecturers would read this, and since they would probably not accept any more informality on my part, let’s just get straight to it.
Leisure business is just as it says on the tin: The business of selling leisure, or rather the experience of it.
Leisure comes in many forms, for everyone has their own different way of enjoying their own time in this world. Be it in reading books, taking care of plants, skydiving, video games, or even shopping.
Those who enjoy reading books would go to a library or a book store. Those who would enjoy video games would go to an arcade. Those who would like to travel and see new sights, to get away from it all, would go to a travel agent. A mall would please shopaholics who have nothing but time and money in their hands.
How would you enjoy spending your free time? There are many ways to spend it, but you would most likely in some way have to spend money to enjoy yourself wouldn’t you?
Besides the introduction to Leisure Business, there was an explanation as to what the class would be doing for the rest of the semester. My notes for today might feel short, but I guess that’s a given as it was simply the first class. We will most likely go deeper into the subject for the next class.
