Today’s class will be led by our classmates as they talk about various forms of leisure as a leisure business as well as deconstructing what they are in general in order to understand it and the businesses related to it.
There are many aspects to travel and the travel agents. Although with the advent of technology that has made travel much easier for the normal person with the means and the funds to do so, there are still people who are basically just stuck with the old ways of simply going up to a travel agent that’s stationed in an office and just organizing things face-to-face perhaps because they seem more reliable, provide better deals or are simply not good with technology.
Before booking flights and hotels online, travel agents were very convenient for a variety of reasons. They never went anywhere, there was always someone who was accountable, there were many travel options as well as suggestions that were provided by travel agents and at the time, they were the cheaper alternative to people who didn’t know how to travel or what kind of place they were going.
Art is also leisure. People dig art. Art’s like, the shit man. So nice to look at. Jokes aside, There are many who consider art as a form of leisure, be it to admire wonderful works of art or to collect it.
Sports are also leisure.
